The requirement is for commercial subscription television and broadband telecommunications services to support daily administrative, informational, and operational continuity functions across Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) facilities. Services encompass multi-channel informational broadcast distribution to maintain situational awareness, dedicated data connectivity to support specialized auxiliary communication services (such as American Sign Language video telecommunication), and network connectivity to ensure uninterrupted business and financial operations. Cox Communications is the incumbent authorized cable service provider and maintains the sole existing cable infrastructure currently servicing the required buildings at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW). The significant capital expenditure required to establish a parallel infrastructure from an alternative vendor makes any other source commercially unfeasible for this requirement.
