The Metals and Ceramics Department of the Materials Engineering Division (MED) at Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) requires the procurement of a specific type of fully integrated, turnkey digital microscope (VHX-X1) system to meet critical inspection and analysis needs. Current analysis methods are limited, and a system with unique capabilities, such as real-time 3D composition, advanced shadow-effect imaging for surface feature enhancement, and fully automated teaching functions, is required to analyze advanced materials and component failures. This procurement is for a new system that consolidates these proprietary functions into a single, integrated unit, replacing an older, less capable Keyence model. A trade-in of the existing equipment is included in this procurement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.
