The anticipated contract is a single award Firm Fixed Price (FFP) with a period of performance of one year with anticipated start date to be 6 August 2024. This pre-solicitation synopsis is a follow-up from sources sought request for information, N6852023R0259, issued on 8 August 2024 pursuant to DFARS 205.205-71. This requirement is being procured on a sole source basis in accordance with statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under 10 U.S. C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 (a)(2) in that MNT is the only responsible source and no other type of equipment will satisfy the COMFRC requirement. MNT is the designer, developer , and producer of the X-ray Blades EAPS (Engine Air Particle Separator) Scan (Equipment) Upgrade of Existing System and the only known source that possesses the data, technical skills, and requisite knowledge to of the design, fabrication, operation, maintenance and support characteristics necessary for the X-Ray Blades EAPS Scan and X-Ray Vault to fulfill this need in a timely manner.
