The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division in Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) is looking to identify potential sources and requesting information pertaining to interested vendors that possess the capability of completing replacement of an obsolete portion of existing inventory of the Stationary Magnetic Particle Unit (SMPU) (NSN: 6636-01-362-9184, PN: GB-3509-01). The Government intends to replace the obsolete portion of existing inventory with the same model and PN as the remaining portion in order to maintain capability, supply support, and tech manual coverage. The Government does not own the complete build-to-print technical data to compete the requirement for new production units. The Government is seeking industry input to assist in identifying features and approaches to meet the general requirements described above. Please note that the Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties responding to this RFI. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
