The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, \"Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements\" for this action. This piece of Support Equipment is only used on the CH-53K series of helicopters, no other aircraft in the U.S. inventory utilizes these items. The Government does not have data or drawing rights to permit full and open competition. This is further substantiated by the assignment of the \"3H\" for the Acquisition Method Code which identifies direct purchase from the manufacturer due to lack of sufficient data. Furthermore, Donaldson Company Inc. does not have any authorized distributors for this product and thus is the only source for procurement of this item.
