## Description

The purposed of Amendment 0001 is to extend required response date to Monday 17 March 2025 at 1 PM EST. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, intends to purchase on a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Basis, ASME Package 9 Collection subscription renewal in accordance with the attached combined solicitation/synopsis. This requirement is being solicited ASME brand name, no substitutions allowed basis, as a 100% small business set aside as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business (OSBP).

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 513120 Periodical Publishers. The applicable size standard is 1000 employees. Summary of the rational to purse a Brand Name Set aside is as follows:

NUWCDIVNPT requires purchase of these subscriptions from the leading industry provider, to remain up to date with the resources currently being utilized in the scientific community. AMSE is accepted as the leading industry provider, providing the best available science. Without access to this specific content widely used in the scientific community, Navy researchers would be slow to learn about – or even ignorant of – the latest scientific and technical developments in key areas. ASME holds exclusive copyrights to this content.
