The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order to Planar Monolithics Industries, Inc on a sole source basis for Successive Detection Logarithmic Video Amplifiers (SDLVAs) detailed in the table below. This requirement is being solicited as unrestricted as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Director of the Office of Small Business Programs. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334511. The SDLVAs are critical to Government systems in which Planar Monolithics is the only qualified provider capable of producing these items, which meet all the requisite functional and performance parameters of the Government system. These items are fully integrated into the Government’s design, and other ancillary system components that have been tailored to operate with Planar’s SDLVAs, ensuring all functional and performance requirements are met. The SDLVAs are a highly complex electronic circuitry requiring highly specialized manufacturing processes to ensure the functional and performance requirements are achieved. Planar is the only source certified and currently possesses the unique knowledge, expertise, and manufacturing facilities required to produce and deliver the SDLVAs.
