## Description

This is a synopsis of a contract award, in accordance with FAR 5.301. The scope of this contract is to provide animal care, training, and support for the maintenance of operation of marine mammals participating in the U.S. Navy's MMS Program at Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia, and Naval Base Kitsap at Bangor, Washington. These services include operation and maintenance of MMS; general care, observation, and record keeping of marine mammals; depot maintenance support, and facility grounds maintenance. This contract was a direct award under the 8(a) Partnership Agreement between the Department of Defense and the Small Business Administration (SBA), as described in DFARS Subpart 219.8.
