NSWCPD has a requirement for LCS Independence Data Acquisition Units (DAU). The LCS Control System is a distributed data acquisition, processing, and control system that provides common redundant distributed monitoring and control of machinery plant operations. The AHM&E Technical Refresh, known as Advanced MCS (AMCS) will remove existing DAU enclosures and internal components and replace with a Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Solution hardware from industry in a PLC-based design and add new network switches to support the unclassified machinery control network where applicable. This redesign will create commonality with other ship classes and increase Navy technical support of shipboard equipment. Contractor shall provide the following hardware components and quantities that meet or exceed the specifications defined below.
