## Description

The purpose of this special notice is to find vendors interested in a site visit for the removal of sand as partially described below:

The Naval Foundry & Propeller Center is searching for contractors to remove bulk sand from the two (2) vaults that measure approximately 240” Length x 120” Width x 120” Height. The vaults are located at columns sub- A-10, 11, and 12 on the foundry’s southern-most wall. Based on engineering calculations, each vault contains approximately 126 tons of sand. A truck will be able to get within 75 ft. of the vault area. Total distance between the sand vaults and rubble pile is approximately 225 linear feet. This description is only a samll part of a draft statement of work and will change. This material is hazardous and will need proper disposal.
