## Description

The Strangulation Investigations course will provide agents with new information to help refute or corroborate strangulation allegations and enable more successful prosecutions of violent offenses. The courses will be scheduled to reach the largest possible audience of NCIS agents. There will be three separate 2-day iterations of the course. Each course will be taught in person with no maximum number of students allowed to attend. The course will be scheduled to be held in geographic areas with a large NCIS footprint and will be taught by two instructors specializing in investigation and prosecution of strangulation cases. The three geographic areas for 2025 are:

The Northwest Field Office (NWFO) - located in Bremerton, WA The Far East Field Office (FEFO) - located in Okinawa, Japan The Northeast Field Office (NEFO) - located in Newport, RI
