## Description

1.3.1 Project Description The work includes comprehensive roof repair to fix and correct cause of the leaks at NAS Lemoore building #42-Simulator building at Ops side. Cover only vertical surfaces of parapet wall. Repair all roof surface cracks at damaged locations. Replace/Provide damaged/missing metal freeze edge or metal trim/flashing. Inspect all roof penetrations and properly fix them.

All roof repair work must be completed prior to new waterproof roofing membrane application, in accordance with new roofing material manufacturer's specification for the period of specified warranty limit. Work is to provide built up material by installing a cold spray-on applied roofing membrane system over entire existing roof, vertical surface of parapet in accordance with specification and drawings. The work includes and incidental related work.

1.3.1.1 Inspection and Repair of Roof Damage a. Verify and diagnose water leak damage on roof surface. Repair all roof surface cracks, at all deteriorated and damaged locations.

Replace and provide new all damaged/missing metal freeze edge and metal trim/flashing. verify all existing gutters and downspouts are connected properly to the existing water drain system. b. Inspect all roof penetrations; investigate any water leak issues, roof tie in points, wall tie in to existing roof locations. c. Ensure that all material to be used to correct deficiency are compatible with existing roof surfaces. d. All roof repair work must be completed prior to new waterproof roofing membrane application, in accordance with new roofing material manufacturer's specification for the period of specified warranty limit. e. Work must be to provide new built up material by installing a cold spray-on applied roofing membrane system over entire existing roof, vertical surfaces in accordance with specifications and drawings.

1.3.1.2 Application of Water-Proofing Membrane a. Furnish and install an instant-setting, liquid-applied, roof restoration system complete in place, as shown on the drawings, and specified herein, or needed for a complete and proper watertight and warrantable installation.

(1) Ensure all materials to be used to correct deficiencies is compatible to cover and adhere to existing roofing surfaces and parapet.

(2) The following information must be provided with proposal submittal for area identified for repair. Provide manufacturer's construction specifications and material application guide. Provide actual sample showing thickness of each layer of coating and finished surface.

(3) Provide verification that a 20-year warranty is achievable as specified. b. Waterproofing materials must be applied to all seams, flashing, edges, fasteners, penetrations, curbs and defects for a waterproof roofing, cover only vertical surface of parapet. 1.3.2 Location The work is located at Naval Air Station Lemoore (NASL), approximately as indicated on the Contract drawings. The exact location will be shown by the Construction Manager (CM).

1.4 OCCUPANCY OF PREMISES Building(s) will be occupied during performance of work under this Contract. Before work is started, arrange with the CM a sequence of procedure, means of access, space for storage of materials and equipment, and use of approaches, corridors, and stairways. Schedule and perform the work in such a manner as to cause the least possible interference to the occupants. All life safety requirements must be operational at areas occupied during the work being performed. 1.6 PROJECT DURATION 120 days after award
