Special construction challenges include complex construction sequencing and phasing subject to: 1) availability of heavy lift helicopters during the construction period; 2) mandatory work stoppage during fire season months and high wind conditions; 3) intentional work stoppage coordinated with and subject to changes of range training activities; and 4) continuous operation of training and area coverage by the interlinked existing communications systems for the range training area. Construction requires coordination with Government system engineers and system integrators during the equipment installation to ensure the uninterrupted communications coverage. Communication tower design and construction schedule shall be coordinated with NAVSEA’s deployment and migration of the network system. Range area Operation and Maintenance Support Information is included in this project.
