Motion Control Systems is the Original Equipment Manufacturer. Other manufacturers of similar controllers have not been vetted or approved for substitution. The additional costs and time delays for the Government to identify and evaluate another system; perform the field-testing of the equipment; and produce the required documentation and drawings would be prohibitive.
