During the apprenticeship, as part of their normal work schedule/assignment, Apprentices will, receive classroom academic instruction provided by an accredited Educational Institution, receive industrial trade-based instruction from Government personnel, and develop, apply and refine their KSAs through On the Job Learning (OJL) in scheduled work experience through the trade’s established key processes. Upon completion of the required academic classes, the Apprentice shall possess a Trade Technician Career Studies Certificate in a marine industrial occupation and be prepared to perform at the journeyman worker level.
