Military Sealift Command is seeking eligible businesses for the Deactivation Availability (DEACT) on the USNS ZEUS (T-ARC 7) commencing on/about 01 August 2025 and continuing for a period of 60 calendar days. The USNS ZEUS has a length of 513 Ft, a Beam of 73 Ft, Displacement 15.174 Tons. Area of consideration is East and Gulf Coast. While the finalized list of work items is still under development, a list of notional work package items is as follows: Furnish General Services, Project Planning and production Status Monitoring Report, Fire Protection and Ship’s Safety, Shipboard Access and Security, Clean and Gas Free, Tanks, Voids, and Cofferdams & Spaces, , Towing Preparations, Towing of Vessel, Water Line and Flood Line Markers, Shaft Lock Fabricate and Install, Steering Gear Hydraulic Pump and Equipment, Steering Gear Lock Installation, Battery Removal, Antenna Removal, Communications Equipment Removal, Bridge Navigation Equipment Removal, Gyro Removal, Hydraulic Oil Drain and Removal, Preparation for Lay-Up, firefighting System Deactivation, Life Raft Removal and Disposal, Rescue boat and Work Boat Prep for Shipping, General Equipment Removal, Evacuate AC and Reefer Plant for Deactivation, Anchor Chains and Lockers, Tail and Stern Tube Shaft Removals. All Small businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUBZone and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government’s best interest.
