## Description

SYNOPSIS - NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.203 in response to the mandatory requirement for a 15-day notification. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Naval Air Warfare Command ?

Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) intends to issue a Sole Source contract to CALSPAN LLC 4455 GENESEE STREET BUFFALO, NY 14225. Interested parties should contact Calspan for subcontracting opportunities.REQUIREMENTS:Per the Statement of Work (SOW), this contract will result in the procurement of flight demonstration program support, to include classroom instruction, utilizing a contractor-owned Variable Stability System (VSS) aircraft for U.S. Naval Test Pilot School students under instruction.The anticipated acquisition will be a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Five-year contract (1 base year with 4 one-year options).This notice is published for informational purposes only and is not a request for quotes or request for information.

A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government and is based on an approval to utilize the authority under FAR 8.405-6(b).This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, ?Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.?

A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above.
