Under the authority of FAR6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The requirement is for an upgrade to the existing Universal Sonar Mount hardware currently owned by the Naval Post Graduate School. The present hardware in place is Kongsberg EM2040-07 transducer, and this transducer will currently not fit on the watercraft with the current mounting hardware. Request an upgrade to the pole used to mount the transducer, and the Hightower base unit on which the pole is mounted. Request a teardrop shaped mount on which to attach the Kongsberg 2040-07 transducer. This sonar system and mounting hardware is used to support the Oceanography Department courses, student thesis projects, and the Technical POC’s research program. The anticipated award date of this action is on or before end of September 2024.
