## Description

The Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River intends to award a sole source class of actions under existing contract N00019-23-C-0049 to Saab Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Saab”). These contract actions will procure the FY2026-FY2027 AN/SPN-50 Shipboard Air Traffic Radar (SATR). The primary modification will include the production and associated production support for the AN/SPN-50 and retrofit kits.

The total estimated quantity of AN/SPN-50 radars to be procured under the primary modification is up to 5, or other quantities as authorized and appropriated by Congress. Additional modification(s) are anticipated for Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) repairs. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C.

3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements". Saab is the original designer, developer, and manufacturer of the OE-120/UPX Antenna Group systems. Saab is the only known source that has the unique knowledge, experience and special skills required to provide these supplies and services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.

The Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR Part 12 for this acquisition. Questions concerning subcontracting opportunities should be directed to Mike Deskiewicz at Saab, at Mike.Deskiewicz@saab.inc.com.
