\n\nThe purpose of amendment 0002 is to extend the close date to 9/15.
\n\nThe Submarine Force Museum (SFM) intends to procure two (2) conservation-grade (i.e. made from archival materials that are inert and will not off-gas or cause damage to the artifacts) microclimate museum display cases for use in future exhibits. This is part of a broader strategy to update all cases in the museum to have a uniform appearance and to meet museum preservation standards. These cases will help SFM meet current preservation standards while displaying artifacts from its historic collections, as the current cases which can accommodate mannequins do not meet museum preservation standards and are causing degradation to the artifacts on display. These cases will increase flexibility and mobility when creating new exhibits, as they are moveable, unlike the current cases.
