This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Synopsis/Solicitation N0017824Q6771 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation as indicated in the attached SF18. The SF18 form is being utilized to generate the applicable clauses from the Standard Procurement System. This requirement is not eligible for small business set-aside. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to procure on a Brand Name or Equal basis for ACME Portable Products and Ulyssix Technologies, Inc products. The Telemetry collection equipment stations personnel currently possesses several Ulyssix Technologies Inc. telemetry acquisition stations and are already trained and familiar with their operation. Changing the equipment vendor for additional telemetry assets would require re-training. Also, increase project costs, as the configuration for the equipment is usually performed once, and then copied/pasted over to the other equipment. This could not be recovered through full and open competition. Ulyssix Technologies is located in Frederick, Maryland and ACME Portable Products is located in Azusa, California.
