Pressed Explosive Lathe Upgrade – Source Sought

\n\nThe Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head (NSWC IHD) has a requirement to procure a pressed explosive lathe machine. This Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Pressed Explosive Lathe Machine will be used for shaping explosive chargers from energetic materials. The nature of energetic material requires special physical enclosures, such as National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) 7, NEMA 9 and NEMA 4X rated electrical equipment, two separate control stations (local and remote) and safety alarming applications incorporated into the machine/control stations.
\n\nis in support of NSWC IHD for the Pressed Explosive Lathe Upgrade. In performance of these tasks, the Contractor shall have thorough knowledge and understanding in the following areas:

It is requested that interested businesses submit a brief capabilities statement (no more than 10 pages in length, 12-point font minimum) demonstrating ability to perform the services listed above. This documentation should address prior/current experience performing efforts of a similar size and scope within the last 3 years, including contract number, organization support and indication of whether as a prime or subcontractor. If company is a small business, documentation must also address company’s ability to perform at least 50% of the work.
