This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available and email requests will not be honored. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to award a sole source Purchase Order to Andor Technology Inc. This requirement is for the purchase of an intensified CCD camera for time-resolved spectroscopy. The instrument will support ongoing efforts in matrix embedded nanoparticle catalysts, underwater plasma research, and many other existing programs providing nanosecond dynamics of solvated electrons, small molecules, biological and biomimetic species, polymers, materials and biomaterials for sensing, energy storage and conversion, and photonic applications. The spectrometer must be equipped with a quartz window, have a spectral range 180-920nm, peak quantum efficiency > 10% at room temperature, minimum gate width of < 50ns, minimum 1024x255 pixel array, < 30 micron pixel size, < 20 fps frame rate, gain of > 500, and < 3 microsecond repetition rate. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 334516 with size standard of up to 1000 employees, Small The Federal Supply Code (FSC) / Product Service Code (PSC) procurement is 6640. This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $250,000.
