The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Brantner and Associates LLC. 1700 Gillespie Way, El Cajon, California 92020, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. This is being sole sourced because only Brantner and Associates have met this requirement and are currently qualified to build the connectors for the Trident NSS Program. Notes on each drawing state that only the item described on the drawing, when procured from the vendor listed, is approved by the Strategic System Program Office for use in the specified applications. No substitute item is to be used without prior testing and approval from this Program Office. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
