The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Microchip Technology Inc. and/or authorized distributors, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. This is being sole sourced because Microchip Technology Inc. is the manufacturer of this specific part number PIC16C74A-041/PQ. The OEM’s authorized distributors are the only method to procure the necessary microchips with this specific design.
