## Description

This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) for informational and planning purposes only. NAVSUP WSS is seeking potential sources interested in providing spare procurements for the Special Hull Treatment program under this standalone contract. As part of its market research, NAVSUP WSS is issuing this SSN to determine if there exists an adequate number of qualified interested contractors capable of providing and spares to support the Special Hull Treatment program.

Spares support various US Navy ship classes. The NAICS code for the requirements are 336611 - SHIP BUILDING AND REPAIRING and the standard size is 1,300 employees. The anticipated contract value is $6.8M. NAVSUP WSS is seeking the following information: 1. Potential sources to procure the items listed in above (name, address, CAGE Code, business size standard) Any resultant solicitation will be released to Contract Opportunities via beta.SAM.gov.

It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Contractors who previously responded to the RFI do not need to respond to this Notice unless information has changed. Responses are requested no later than 16 AUG 2023 at 1300 EST. Responses shall be submitted via e-mail only to Steve Smithey at steve.smithey@navy.mil.

Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part.

An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity’s procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application.
