The action will include firm fixed price and/or cost type CLINs. The contemplated efforts will be negotiated and awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). NASSCO possesses the critical capability and experience in design and construction of CLF ships for the U.S. Navy. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one responsible source under the cited FAR Part 6 authority.
