DESCRIPTION: The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to solicit, on a sole source basis, L3 Harris Technologies, Inc., Kollmorgen Electro-Optical (L3 KEO), located at Northampton, MA, for the procurement of continued engineering support and hardware systems for the Low Profile Mast (LPM) under contract N00024-20-C-6249. The scope of the requirements will include continued engineering and technical support of system design, testing and delivery under the current contract. As the prime contractor and design agent for LPM, L3 KEO is the only known source capable of providing the required engineering and technical support to the Navy in the period required to support LPM Type-20 and Type-24 system design, testing, and delivery to the Fleet. The statutory authority for the sole source is 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other types of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements to support the Fleet. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
