## Description

**NOTICE:** The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any information or responses received may be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Description The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to solicit, on a sole source basis, Textron Systems Corporation, 124 Industry Lane, Hunt Valley, Maryland 21030, for the procurement of continued engineering and technical services for the Unmanned Influence Sweep System (UISS) Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) under contract N00024-14-C-6322.

The scope of the requirements will include continued engineering and technical services for continued development of engineering change proposals (ECPs), testing and validation of software baselines for the UISS pilot line unit and production unit configurations.

As the prime integrator and OEM (original equipment manufacturer) for UISS, Textron Systems Corporation is the only known source capable of providing the required engineering and technical services to the Navy in the period required to support the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) and Mine Warfare for the Fleet. The statutory authority for the sole source is 10 U.S.C.

3204(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other types of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements to support the Fleet. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
