The anticipated Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) contract modification is for Quarterly Firmware and Software Upgrades to HAIPEs (High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptors) to support the Triton MQ-4C Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). This contract modification is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204 (a)(l) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." NGSC is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, integrator, and producer of the MQ-4C Triton air vehicles and ground stations. Therefore, NGSC is the only source with the requisite knowledge of the Triton design, operation, and maintenance to successfully provide the necessary FSRs, engineering, systems integration, and sustainment support. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available.
