## Description

The Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River, MD intends to award a sole source, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract modification to BAE Systems, Information and Electronics Systems Integration, (hereinafter referred to as “BAE Systems”), Greenlawn, New York for FY25-26 production requirements. This contract modification will procure FY2025-26 AN/UPX-50(C) Digital Interrogators (DI), AN/UPX-50(C) retrofit kits, and technical data. The total estimated quantity of DIs and retrofit kits is up to 183 end items.

The listed quantity is an approximation and may be increased slightly if funding permits. BAE is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the AN/UPX-50(C) DI and retains the Technical Data Package (TDP). BAE Systems is the only known source that has the unique knowledge, experience and special skills required to provide these supplies and services. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C.

3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements". The Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR Part 12 for this acquisition. Questions concerning subcontracting opportunities should be directed to BAE Systems Subcontracts Manager lead, Abe Leidner, (631) 262-8204 at abe.leidner@baesystems.com.
