## Description

The F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office (JPO) intends to award a sole source contract to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company (LM Aero), Fort Worth, Texas, for F-35 non-recurring sustainment support.

The scope being procured under DINRE includes Depot Activation; Intermediate-level Maintenance; Sustainment Non-Recurring Engineering Efforts; Reliability, Maintainability and Health Maturation; Structural Integrity Program and Low Observable Maturation; Depot Analysis, Planning, and Implementation; Depot Material Activation; Depot Test Systems Development and Support; eCASS (electronic consolidated automated support system) Repair, Test, and Check; Depot-specific Support Equipment (SE); Maintenance Plan Change (MPC) project opportunities; and organic software maintenance support capabilities.

This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) (formerly 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. LM Aero is the original designer, developer, and manufacturer of the F-35 aircraft and is the only source with the engineering capabilities required to provide sustainment support for F-35 aircraft.

The DINRE FY25-28 contract is anticipated to be awarded during the third quarter of FY?2025, supporting the F-35 JPO U.S. Services, Cooperative Program Partners, and Foreign Military Sales Customers. This notice of intent is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. However, in accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation that will be considered by the U.S. Government.

Based upon any responses to this notice, the U.S. Government reserves the right to process this procurement action on a sole source basis. For availability of subcontracting opportunities, contact LM Aero.
