## Description

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD awarded a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract N0001926C0134 to Parker Meggitt Defense Systems, Inc. (PMDSI). This award consists in a base production lot, the exercise of the first option lot, and a second option lot for NAVAIR and NAVSUP Full Rate Production (FRP) requirements.

The F/A-18E/F Infrared Search & Track (IRST) Block II Environmental Control Unit (ECU) Weapons Replaceable Assemblies (WRA) is capable of providing temperature control to the Infrared Receiver (IRR) and processor WRAs, procured on a separate contract vehicle. This contract was awarded on a sole-source basis under statutory authority 10 U.S.C.

2304(C)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirements.” As the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the F-18 IRST ECU, PMDSI has the manufacturing knowledge, experience, and technical data required to fulfil this requirement within the production time required to maintain program schedule. This effort is covered under the Justification and Approval (J&A) number 26-0094, dated 29-APR-2026. This award notice is for informational purposes only.
