The process is divided in 3 Phases, culminating in a government-led, LM-supported System Requirements Review (SRR). The process includes multiple working group meetings and knowledge point events leading up to the SRR. Lockheed Martin subject matter expertise and support is crucial to the ELSE process to ensure a higher quality requirements set; air system impacts are accurately identified; verification, certification activities are planned; and technical feasibility, schedule & cost risk are understood / accounted for. This process has been closely coordinated with Lockheed Martin. This posting is for candidate capabilities within capability increments 1-4 and up. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 \"Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements\".
