## Description

NAVAIR intends to negotiate and award a sole-source delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-20-G-0005 with Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC), Melbourne, FL to procure a lifetime quantity of 4” silicon carbide transistor (SiC) Wafers. The production process for the 4” Wafer is going obsolete and this end of life buy is required to maintain E-2D production, spares, and repairs for the APY-9 RADAR’s primary power supply, Power Amplifier Module (PAM).

NGSC is the only company that has the ability, resources, technology, and documentation necessary to develop, produce, maintain, and support this system without causing unacceptable delays in meeting the Navy’s operational requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS AND NO COMPETITTIVE SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED.

This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10, U.S. Code 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or series will satisfy agency requirements”.

There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above.
