Military provided training is limited in the realm of casualties, relying on live persons acting as casualties, or training dummies; both of which only provides limited training value. The use of cadavers for training immediately and measurably increases any training value that is provided to mortuary affairs Marines ultimately preparing them for combat missions and increasing the experience level without overseas combat experience. This is the closest training available to a live scenario and may be the only experience the Marines have with realistic casualties before a deployment. THIS IS SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. This Sources Sought is issued soley for information and planning purposes; it does no constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB) , Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue one in the future.
