This system currently comprises two Pelican cases: one housing the purification unit capable of processing 15 gallons of water per hour, and the other containing Stock List-3 (SL-3) equipment. The PWPS is designed to meet the water needs of a platoon-sized unit. We envision the PWPS-M to enhance mobility by consolidating the system into a single Pelican case or equivalent ruggedized, hard-sided, impact resistant polymer transit case. Our goal is to create a more compact design that allows one Marine to easily transport, lift, and operate the system independently.
