The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 611519 with $21,000,000 size standard. Usage of a less capable provider in place of United States Marine, INC. would result in significant negative operational impacts to 2D Amphibious Assault Battalion (AA BN). There are currently no courses in the DOW that teach and cover the platform of this craft. This course teaches the basic fundamentals of maintenance and advance trouble shooting methods while under way. It covers engine, Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB), Electrical trouble shooting methods, and Maintenance. This course is needed to be able to support the MEU. Specifically, the Maritime Raid Force. The boat teams must acquire this knowledge to be able to operate safely underway.
