**REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI):** ALTERNATIVE BRANDS FOR MUD BUDDY BOAT MOTORS The Marine corps is seeking information on alternative brands or models that offer boat motors compatible to Mud Buddy (Excel F-4, 18’ hull / ID #XLCO16921215) in terms of performance, durability, and reliability. This RFI is intended to identify other manufacturers or suppliers that provide similar shallow water or mud motors.

Supplies being sought Salient Characteristics: 40 Horsepower (HP) Surface Drive 993 cc Briggs and Stratton Vanguard High HP Belt Drive Electric Fuel Injection Full cast aluminum and stainless-steel frame 3 large propellers 34" drive length Fits 16-18' boat hull Camouflage Timber in color Electric shift, trim, and momentary pulse forward Compact handle with reverse thrust and cavitation plate maneuverability Stainless-steel Vanguard muffler Hydraulic trim and ground level trim switch Lockable Marine-style clamp mount with built-in travel lock Please see attached picture of current boat motor serial number.
