The Government intends to award on a Sole-Source basis to: The American Correctional Association, 206 N Washington ST STE 200, Alexandria, VA. 22314, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The reason for this Sole Source Award Intent is that due to market research and SECNAVINST 1640.9D/SECNAV M-1640.1 (Corrections Manual). The American Correctional Association is the only correctional association that is nationally recognized for its accreditation process, audit, and validation. An ACA Accreditation audit is a system of verification of national standards. Accreditation is achieved through a series of reviews, evaluations, audits and hearings. There are no substitutes available.
