## Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE SOLE SOURCE AWARD The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Indian Health Service (IHS), Bemidji Area intends to award a Firm Fixed Priced Contract on a sole source basis to GENERAL ELECTRIC HEALTHCARE for CASS LAKE INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE HOSPITAL, CASS LAKE, MN. The anticipated period of performance will be for a one-year contract.

The sole source action will be issued under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a) - only one source reasonably available due Cass Lake Service Unit’s use of GE radiology devices and equipment. GE Healthcare is the software manufacturer of the devices and equipment in use by the Cass Lake Service Unit that require the service support, software security updates, patches and software updates that can only be supplied by the manufacturer.

The components of this service agreement are proprietary to GE Healthcare. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423450 – Medical, Dental, and Hospital Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers – with a size standard of 200 employees.
