This requirement is a follow-on to purchase order HTC71125PD001, awarded by the USTRANSCOM TCAQ-D to Edifecs Inc. as a brand name FFP order. USTRANSCOM uses SpecBuilder software to simplify and accelerate authoring, testing, and publishing of ANSI ASC X12 specifications. SpecBuilder enables USTRANSCOM to create standardized data exchange between Department of Defense (DoD) components, systems, and commercial trading partners and ensures compliance with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) X12 standard for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) as directed by DoD Directive (DoDD) 4500.09. SpecBuilder by Edifecs is the only software that can be used by USTRANSCOM to modify ANSI ASC X12 EDI specifications and the only one recommended by X12 leadership.
