Surveillance and research shall be on malaria prevalence and antimalarial drug resistance, bacteria with antimicrobial resistance, sexually transmitted pathogens, respiratory viral pathogens, bacterial pathogens, agents of parasitic disease and other emerging infections found in the LPAF ranks and in the Laos citizens. Products that may be evaluated in clinical trials include anti-malarial drugs and/or vaccines, anti-viral drugs, anti-microbial drugs, other potential candidates with activity against infectious disease agents as well as diagnostic tests. The contractor shall provide office space, utilities, as well as security per local regulations.
