## Description

The WEMT PMO of USAMMDA has a requirement to provide a fast-acting chemical sterilant to medical roles and teams that lack or have limited access to electrical power and transportation. The Chemical Sterilant capability will be a powder or liquid, which when added to and mixed with potable water, will result in a liquid solution capable of sterilizing surgical instruments or other medical materiel through immersion, ideally within ten (10) minutes.

After mixing, it will be reusable and disposable as a non-hazardous liquid. It will have the required approvals from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Many of the commercially available Chemical Sterilants are available, ready to use, in large volumes or require multiple hours of immersion to achieve sterilization. Sterilizers that require power with long cycle times and transporting large volumes of liquids can be logistical burdens.

WEMT is requesting information from commercial markets about the ability to provide an FDA-Cleared Chemical Sterilant with a sterilization indication in a concentrated form to reduce logistical burdens. Additionally, WEMT would like to understand the potential or challenge of an FDA-Cleared Chemical Sterilant to sterilize within ten (10) minutes
