## Description

This is a Sources Sought Notification issued by the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Northeastern Markets Contracting Division as part of its market research, on behalf of the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), 8901 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20889. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price, Master Blanket Purchase Agreement for commercial items for the procurement of blood products for emergencies, surgical procedures, and inpatient and outpatient blood component therapy.

The purpose of this notification is to obtain information from industry that will be used for preliminary market research information and acquire knowledge of potential qualified sources. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. There will be no Request for Quote or Solicitation available for competitive proposals at the present time. Phone calls will not be accepted. The DHA is currently conducting a market survey to assess the availability of the following:

• Blood products that are FDA licensed. • Special Blood products to be delivered within reasonable amount of time (STAT – within 2 hours, ASAP – 4 hours and ROUTINE – 1 day to 2 days). • Availability of Rare Blood – Supplier must be part of American Rare Blood Donor Program (ARDP). The Transfusion Service will require regularly scheduled supply of blood products from local U.S. FDA registered blood collection to continue meeting the blood product demands for WRNMMC in the following scheduled quantities:
