## Description

Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), has a requirement to procure maintenance and repair services for the Terumo System heart and lung bypass equipment system. The government intends to procure this service on a sole source basis from Terumo Cardiovascular Corporation because preliminary market research indicates that only Terumo Cardiovascular Corporation, can provide the capability required by the medical center. This notice of intent is not a request for a competitive proposal.

All capability statements received within five (5) calendar days after the date of publication of this notice will be reviewed by the Government and considered. Comments must be received no later than (NLT) at 5 pm EST by the response date of this notice. However, the Government's determination not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Should your firm desire to submit a capability statement, it should demonstrate the Offeror's experience and expertise to provide the services identified above within the required time frame without substantial duplication of cost to the Government. The statement shall include business size, ability to self-perform work, layers of subcontracting, and any other information indicating a legitimate ability to meet these specific requirements.

The statement should not exceed five (5) pages in length, and written inquiries may be addressed to claudia,a,febresmormontoy.ctr@health.mil. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A copy of the Justification and Approval will be posted no later than four (4) days after award.
