THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE – THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT’S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE MODIFICATION TO BARBARICUM, LLC FOR PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES The Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate (WHS/AD) hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source modification to extend the performance period an additional three months using other than full and open procedures to Barbaricum, LLC (1714 N Street, Washington DC 20036-2907).

The, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) term contract provides professional administrative, communications, manufacturing education and workforce development, cybersecurity, technical, financial, analytical, joint/interagency organization and program advisory services support to the Manufacturing Technology Program (ManTech) operating under the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense, Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)).

The ManTech requires a bridge contract while a competitive acquisition is conducted and awarded by the third quarter of FY 2024. The bridge contract will maintain continuity of services provided under the existing contract GS-35F-494GA HQ003420F0111, currently performed by incumbent contractor Barbaricum, LLC. The current contract is set to expire on 15 March 2024. The proposed contract action period of performance will be from 16 March 2024 through 15 June 2024. This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201.

This procurement is being executed pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(d)(1)(B), procured through procedures other than competitive procedures when it is likely that award to a source other than the original source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the United States which is not expected to be recovered through competition or unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency’s needs. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged.
