## Description

This notice is not a solicitation. This announcement serves as a sources sought notice for the upcoming competitive acquisition for the United States Air Force Academy Sock Kits requirement. The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) issues clothing and uniform items to cadets throughout their tenure at USAFA. The Sock Kits are part of the Cadet's clothing issue. The sock kits must be made in accordance with the attached specification PD USAFA Socks-210707.

The Buy American Act and Berry Amendment requirements will apply to this acquisition. The Government will not provide Government Furnished Material (GFM); the contractor will be responsible for procuring all materials to manufacture the sock kits. A first article will be required in accordance with FAR 52.209-4 Alt 1. The government intends to solicit a firm-fixed price contract with a base period of up to one year and two annual option periods. The estimated quantities per year for each item are:

0001 Sock Kit, Medium 350 0002 Sock Kit, Large 500 0003 Sock Kit, X Large 220 Each kit consists of:

8 pairs of summer boot socks (lightweight) 8 pairs of winter boot socks (heavyweight) 2 pairs of ski socks 5 pairs of physical training crew socks 5 pairs of physical training ankle socks 8 pairs of lightweight dress socks. Kits must be individually packed into vacuum sealed plastic to minimize storage volume. Vacuum sealed kits should then be bulk packed into boxes by size for shipping.

Delivery is FOB Destination to USAF Academy, CO 80840. Please indicate interest in this upcoming acquisition using the interested vendors listing associated with this notice.
