The 354th Contracting Squadron is seeking qualification packages and past performance information from vendors interested in providing professional architect and engineering services at Eielson AFB, AK to replace the existing pole-mounted transformers at B1306 with a pad mounted transformer, replace existing interior and exterior lighting fixtures, heated bollard outlet (HBO panelboard). Jack’s House (B1306) at Eielson AFB, AK was constructed in 1965 and its pole-mounted transformer is becoming increasingly hard to maintain. The facility currently has a 150 kVA pole-mounted transformer which must be replaced with a pad-mounted transformer for easier maintenance and to be in compliance with UFC 3-550-01. Additionally, the building requires new interior and exterior lighting and new heated bollard outlets (HBO) and associated panelboards. The project acknowledges the extreme Arctic conditions.
