## Description

THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This notice is issued solely for informational and planning purposes. This notice does not constitute a solicitation. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL), operated by Fluor Marine Propulsion (FMP), is utilizing this request for information for market research to determine what organizations have the capability to fulfill this requirement. NNL will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for information.

**Scope:** NNL is seeking information on the availability of a small scale closed-loop steam plant system. A desired test loop will include steam generated in an autoclave that will be sent to a condenser where the non-condensable gases are removed, and the steam is cooled back into water. The water from the condenser will then be sent back to the autoclave. Any water volume lost through purging or sampling throughout the loop will be replaced by a makeup water tank.

The apparatus must include the general requirements below. General requirements: An autoclave A condenser A component which removes non-condensable gases A makeup water tank The apparatus may also include the following features but is not required.

Components constructed of a corrosion resistant material Multiple locations where chemicals may be injected into the system Multiple locations where water samples may be obtained Interchangeable condenser tubes of different materials Ability to place and monitor corrosion coupons within the system (e.g., autoclave (steam space and/or water), condenser, and feedwater)
